Jeff is an accomplished independent surfboard shaper based in Goleta, California. Operating under his personal label, Surfers Delight, where he handles 100% of the building process—both shaping and glassing—from start to finish with a reputation for crafting beautiful, retro-inspired alternative shapes that heavily emphasize form, glide, and classic flow.
Famous for his handcrafted longboards, mid-lengths and fishes, Jeff's shapes are celebrated for their foam distribution, ease of paddling and smooth glide.
10'1 Smooth Operator longboard by Jeff Svoboda . Dimensions: 10'1 x 23" x 3 1/4" . Description: A custom project where Jeff shaped the longboard and then I applied my Weathered Walls art techniques for an inspired Redwood finish. Jeff then glassed directly over the art work with his masterful workmanship. A Redwood forest inspired board designed to surf California's amazing point breaks and sheltered coves. The following photographs are of Jeff that I shot of him at work in his Goleta shop capturing the intricate detail to design, shaping and glassing of this beautiful surfboard.
